I made this blog because I know a lot of people out there who paid for their pay-per-view didn't get the dream fight of their dreams. The fight between Dela Hoya and Pacquiao was scripted - Manny was to win while Dela Hoya was to loose the game. All is not lost after all for Dela Hoya since one - it was not a title fight, so no pressure really, and second - he was raking in freaking $ 20 Million while Pacquiao only got a $ 6 Million fee. Are we now on the same page?
Many boxing analysts have said the Dela Hoya was not himself that day since the Golden Boy has been known to be a notorious boxer in the ring. Please watch the video and see the big difference of how he fought last Dec 6 2008.
Since Dela Hoya is a big time boxing promoter than a boxer, i think he saw an easier way of earning more dough and that's for Pacquaio to fight against his boxer, Ricky Hitman Hatton. I am not hundred percent sure that the Mexican executioner will go after Ricky Hatton for his next fight. Pacman after all has several choices such Manuel Marquez, Nate Campbell, Antonia Margarito, Andre Berto or Paul Williams. But it would only be logical if Pacman goes after Hatton since he is the next best opponent for him. Their match-up might be classified "classic fight of two aggressive and offensive minded fighters". I hope Pacman and Hitman will meet each other the ring, that will certainly be a fight worth watching.
